At 5:30 this morning, I had been asleep for approximately 2.5 hours.
I had gone with my 5 sisters in law to see the 11:59 pm showing of "New Moon", and arrived home around 2:30 am.
It was awesome, by the way.
Shortly after 3:30 in the am, Peyton woke up.
Due to past 3 in the am experiences, I was a little on edge, but was already not sleeping well due to the continued dizziness.
Peyton was sleepy, but restless.
At 5:35, and I know, because the clock was the first thing I looked at, Peyton started "the cough", you know, the one where you feel their little stomach muscles going, ready to throw up...
Yes.
That was oh, so fun.
After she finished throwing up all over my side of the bed (which Merrill slept so soundly through..) I took her into the bathroom and began pouring a bath, and stripping her down. She was happy as could be. I was dizzy and feeling like I was going to throw up. I was sure it was just because the smell was everywhere.. but no.
A load of laundry was started and the dizziness only got worse. Pretty soon, I was throwing up, trying to remember the last time this had happened.
When I was preggers with Peyton, I did. But that wasn't because I was sick. It was because I had taken a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to remedy my heartburn, because I was out of my medicine, and it was the Sabbath..
I will never do that again.
So the time before that was the one that would really count, was when I was pregnant with Ashley and I got a stomach bug.
It's been a while.
It has been a pretty lousy day, not quite feeling well enough to do much. I kept both girls home from school, because I don't know what it is that we have, and I don't want to spread it, and I also didn't want to get a call telling me that one or the other has shared breakfast with their class, and have to go get them. Have you ever tried driving while dizzy? Not a good idea.
I think I freaked Merrill out a bit.. he was trying to call, I was was trying not to fall over running to answer the phone, also had Peyton asleep in my arms, so I didn't rush to answer either phone. He came home, and I could tell he was a little panicked. I am thankful that he is close enough, and able to run home if need be though.
I am starting to feel a bit better now.
And my kitchen is clean. :) That makes everything better.
Thanks are owed to Wheatables, Sprite, and good neighbors and family who have helped.
Hopefully the barftasitic part of our weekend is now over.
Wish us luck...

Lynn's Review..

Last night, I watched "Twilight" with the girls..
They loved it.
Lynn especially.
Her opinion:
"Mom.. this movie is so much fun! It just makes me want to watch it over and over again!!"
We have another "Twilight" fan in our house :)

Oh, Edward...
What a delicious movie!
I worked hard on these to have 4 pair done for tonight... thanks for moral support Brooke, and for your cutting skills!
Really, first showing... Kaitlyn and MiKell got the tickets... yay for them! And we had a blast.. I got to be young and carefree for a few hours... after I got 2/3 of my children to sleep ;)
The movie was awesome!!! For those of you going to see it, may I suggest the nachos, diet Coke, popcorn WITH milkduds (Christie taught me this, and it is a must try...) and some sour patch kids, for when you think Edward and Bella are going to kiss, but they don't...
Now I am off to maybe 4 or 5 hours of sleep!
Worth it!!!

Breaking Dawn...

Finished Breaking Dawn last night...
It was good. I kinda had a hard time getting into it, I don't know if it's because it started off with all happy stuff, and quickly went into conflict, or if it's just me, and I am kinda bummed that the series was going to end...
All in all, it was a good read, kind of bittersweet...
Still liked The Host better ;)...

439...
...pilot holes that is...
The deck is nearly complete! I can hardly wait...
To help the process move along a little faster, I drilled some pilot holes to help the fastening go quicker, and less cures-filled.
I drilled at least 439... those are how many need to be filled with screws now.
I ask myself, was this worth it? Spending my day, drilling so many pilot holes?
I answer myself, yes... one afternoon spent drilling pilot holes equals one evening with a drastically less swear count coming from Merrill's mouth.
I did have to sacrifice reading/treadmill time.. Breaking Dawn, here I come...
I got an accessory that I have wanted ever since I saw Open Range... or was is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?
Robert's... 50% off one item coupon. Stacy and I had a fun girls day out yesterday.
By the way.. Cricut packages are on sale there... $139.99... guess what I have been seriously considering...
And last but not least... proof that my girls do have some of my DNA: they love these...
Merrill hates cinnamon, but we girls sure love these yummy treats!
And Merrill has a surprise for me when he gets home?!
It's a good day...

Flashback Friday...

Really...
My house cleaning, totally optional.
Meals became... well... excuses of meals. I had to be able to read while I was cooking whatever I was claiming to cook. Peanut Butter and Froot Loops became gourmet....
Scrapbooking??? What is that?
Lynn has never enjoyed so much uninterrupted computer time.
Ashley got to watch a lot of TV...
They both enjoyed playing outside a lot...
Merrill would often go to bed, and wake up in the wee hours of the morning to me, reading, still.
I became a pro at nursing while holding a hard-bound book.
And sweet Peyton, has enjoyed seeing my face a lot more. I play with her so much more now that there aren't books that are begging me to read them.
But my mind still goes to Edward and Bella...
I just feel guilty that I am not this into my scriptures!
Today on "Good Things Utah", they had Stephanie Meyer on... my life reverted back to a week ago, when I was trying to finish the last book in the series (for now...). Children were not allowed to speak to me, or on my room for that matter while the hosts were talking to her. I had to hear every word! So sorry to my fellow "Twilight" obsessors (fans), I didn't even want to spare the second to call you!
Hopefully it should be on ABC 4's website soon.. It helped to fill my "Twilight" craving.
Oh, yeah...
GO TEAM EDWARD!!!
