Day 12.

I am thankful for answered prayers.

To have a sweet daughter, who knows how to make her mom smile.

I am thankful for sweet notes, to remind me that I am loved.

I am thankful for a strong body, for energy to carry me throughout a day that I thought I wouldn’t be able to make it through.

I am thankful to have a husband home, safe and sound.

Love One Another..

Despite Merrill’s evil plan, we had another great FHE.

(He hinted at his evil plan in the last FHE post found here.)

We started the evening off with singing “As I Have Loved You” and learned the sign language to it.

We read in the scriptures, and broke it all down together, talked about how we can show others that we love them, and why it is so important to Heavenly Father that we love everyone.

That is always good and interesting time with the girls..  their insights are sweet.

We talked about showing love and respect to those in our home and how we can do that everyday.

I bought these cute little mailboxes at Target back in January, they were so tempting in that dollar bin..  I thought we could all write love notes or draw pictures to show our love to each other especially this month, but hope to make it a habit for the rest of the year.  The lesson kind of followed, but worked in perfectly.

The girls have really taken to it, and I enjoy it too.  I have yet to get one on my pillow :( but I love that when I want to tell them how much I love them, or how much I appreciate something they have done, I can write it down, and they love it.  The little notes mean so much to them!  It’s also fun to draw little pictures for them.  We put the flags up if we have placed something in someone’s box (I know, a little backwards) and they sit and wait on the counter for them to come and see the flag is up.

I think it’s safe to say that Valentines’ has gotten an early start here.

Flashback Friday..

I love digging around in the archives...
This is what I found for a year ago today:

It's funny how things surface at the right time.
Summer isn't busy with too many summery activities. We didn't get Lagoon passes this year, but still, it seems so busy! It feels like Merrill and I don't get nearly enough time together...
It was nice to "find" this today.

WooHooooo...

Some fun happenings around here today..
Merrill took the day off.. we worked side by side n the yard all day. We had a good long talk.
I love him!!!
I got this "speshl" gift and note from Lynn, when I needed it most..Love her notes!
Ash was soooo excited about spelling her name.. (love how the "E" is backward :D)(We are living in swimsuits around here..)
She's too cute!
These two...Sometimes they take my breath away with the love they have for each other.
Now do you think the cat fights will end? ;)
SOFTBALL!!!!It was fun.. I have a lot of nerves about it. The last time I really played was.. 14 years ago?! I was a little rusty, a little intimidated.
My little bro was AWESOME! He sacrificed his boy many times :)
So did I..This is my hand (more like my thumb..) after it helped me stop a ball.. playing in-field, co-ed, is a little more intimidating than I had imagined.. you might have to see it in person to get the whole effect. I did get a major "Oohhhh!" from the opposing team's dugout when that slap was heard :)
Still pumped!!
We went for Zeppe's gealto afterward.. yummmmmmy.. Peyton especially loved it! Can't wait to got to one when it opens here!
I also got a large box in the mail today..
Sheets (some which will go into a new quilt..) for a to-be decorated room to celebrate a little girl who's being more and more of a big girl these days...

We love our Daddy!

I am a Best Western widow... I got married because I love this cute dude, I want to spend time with him, not away from him... absence does make the heart grow fonder, but I don't care for the absence half of that whole equation...
I am so thankful for observant little Lynnie-Lou... when we left for church, Mer was still here. When we got home, gone... she noticed this:Merrill has left me little notes on the fridge before, and it has taken me day(s), sometimes, to notice them... that's why I am thankful for Lynn, she found it.
Goodnight Daddy! We love you!!!(I am trying to find a threatening picture of my shooting the 9 mm so as to scare off anyone who might try to do something funny :)... maybe tomorrow...)
