Hey Lynnie-Lou...
Remember that one night, your little sister was doing something so silly, I asked you, quietly, to go get the camera from the computer desk so I could catch it?
You took a little longer than I thought it would take, and I thought I didn't get that cute picture..
Thanks for getting it for me!
I love you..

Flocking fun..
Nope, not meant to be a pseudo-swear :)
Real, crushed velvet flock from Doodlebug Designs.. one of my newest toys.
Still catching up on the family album (I won't say how far back I REALLY am..) but am trying to hurdle over Peyton's birth pictures.. without crying on them.
So here's the down-low on crushed velvet flock (if you don't already know.. it was new to me!)..
You can use glue pen, gluey stamp pad, double-sided tape, glue stick, or even your Xyron (I used my sticker maker).
1- Apply glue to whatever you desire to be flocked, you can even stamp an image, but don't make it goopy.
2- Over a scrap piece of paper (or other nifty tool used to catch extra stuff..), sprinkle your crushed velvet onto the glued area.
3- Shake extra off. Press the crushed velvet into the glue (see why you don't want it to be goopy :)..).
4- Transfer left over product back into the storage jar.

Now I am off to fold more laundry (the never-ending task), and then enjoy some Double Stuffed Oreos with SKIM milk.. so do those two cancel each other out or what? :D

Optimism..
I learn so much from my girls everyday...
One thing that they are so good at teaching me, repeatedly, is optimism.
You see, I see the above picture as a yard (which happens to be next door to our house) full of would be weed seed spreaders, ready to attack the healthy green grass we have so painstakingly worked to have.. spawn of the devil, I tells you..
The girls, on the other hand, see it as endless possibilities.. never ending opportunities of wishes to be made, kept as secrets as the fluff blows away with the wind.
Sometimes I have to remember to adjust my perspective and be "childlike".
The world is nicer that way.

So, you wanna talk..

This is mostly for Ally..
You said you want to talk :)
It's soooooo easy.. I promise!!
First of all, go to Adobe. Download PhotoShop Elements 7 (free for 30 days).
Then go here. Mrs. Sprague is an awesome teacher..
Take this tutorial first, then this one.. and end with this one.
Then go to this amazing woman.. she'll do a lot of footwork for you.
Then, just play.
That's how I have learned most of what I have done.. a few friends (thanks gals!!) have helped when I have had some questions, and of course YouTube.. really..
I hope you try it, like it, and feel comfortable doing it!
A monster is born..
So I need to let Christie know, that by creating me into a hair monster, it has set off a chain of events that have led to irreparable consequences..
Ashley is now a hair-obsessor too..
I have photographic evidence(s)..
This is what I found during bedtime preparations..
I found this one, already put to bed in the corner, beautified as well..
As you can see, no baby or creature is left out.. their "FurReal" pets get posh treatment as well.
