Part two of the “Potty-Mouth” saga.

Peyton likes to keep me on my toes.  Let’s just say that.

Yesterday before sacrament meeting started, she was being too wiggly and irreverent.  I took her out before the meeting began and talked to her about what was expected of her while we were in the chapel.  We went back in and soon after, she picked up where I had interrupted her the first time, which earned her another private visit with mom in the foyer.

Third time’s the charm, right?

Nope.  Not so much.

Right as the Aaronic Priesthood were passing the sacrament, she started again.  I pulled her onto my lap, to whisper in her ear to be reverent only to have her start saying rather loudly: “Shut….”

Now with her most recent behavior, I expected “up” to follow that shut.

I got my hand over her mouth just in time to muffle: “Your mouth mom..”

I was so relieved that it wasn’t “up”, but slightly embarrassed that most of the people who were sitting behind us (we were on the FRONT row) heard.

Sister Alexander was laughing so hard, tears were coming out of her eyes, and a snort escaped as well.

(I am sure it helped that Peyton kept repeating it, just in a loud whisper.)

She kept apologizing for her laughter, but thanked us for the moment.

I hope little miss potty mouth stops her shenanigans soon.

Adventures in potty-training.

potty-training 006 copy

We have been holding steady, doing our best with this circus otherwise known as potty-training for four days now, and we are dong pretty well, if I do say so myself.

We are living pant-less, but we are doing well.

It is fun, seeing her “get it”.  Seeing her being excited about every little part of it.

Seeing her “pantybum”.

Farewell diapers.

(Or maybe it will be a “see ya later”?)

Glad to see that some things are still the same.

Saturday, we went to have dinner with Grandpa W.

(We meaning me, the girls, and a couple dozen cupcakes..)

We got to sit and visit, eat good food (because we don’t make BAD food..), and the kids played with their cousins.  We all adored Abby.

(I also took a lot of pictures, but when DON’T I do that..)

Ashley and James loved jumping from Grandpa’s porch trying to clear the little bushes every time, just like I did with my cousins when I was little.

And Grammy busted out suckers for all the grandkids in honor of Peyton and her progress in potty-training.

It was a good day.

Kapetanov Family

I was lucky (?) enough to take pictures of this awesome mom and her five boys.

(She happens to have a pretty cute and fun daughter-in-law who is pretty sweet herself.)

The boys…

Boys will be boys.

I did manage to hold my own with them, I did grow up with three brothers.

(Thanks for the thick skin and ability to throw out an awesome comeback brothers!)

We did get some cute stuff..
