Meet Lucinda and other fun things..

Meet Lucinda.. or "Lucy".. as I call her :)She is our new, awesome computer.. she is fast, has a whole lotta memory, and best of all, functions at full capacity.
She will also find herself with a new child in a couple of days (hopefully sooner rather than later..) and that would be my PhotoShop program... (cheers!!!)
Right now, the only other broken/non-functioning item in my home is my dishwasher..Note: NEVER take your dishwasher for granted!! This malfunction has blessed me with some nice quiet time though... :)
So...
Lately..We have had Ashley needing to use a "cane" because she has "old lady smell".. (?) Is that why canes are utilized?
She also channels "Word Girl".She continues to note the items of her costume that are missing, but necessary. She has found other items that will serve as "temporary substitutes"..
- Purple Dora gardening glove (notice the absence of the plural "s"?..) in place of the standard red..
- Hot pink shoes in lieu of the red boots..
She also noted that a red belt is necessary, as well as the red helmet..
I guess I have some shopping to do..
Lynnie-Lou, on the other hand...
Had a heart breaking experience the other night..
We were at Pack Meeting (it was "Dino-riffic!!!..) and she missed-out on the opportunity to play a game in which she could win some most coveted and valuable prizes.. her younger sister, did not miss this chance, and thus, Lynnie-Lou was heartbroken.
She left me a note, to convey her grief...I do believe that a translation of sorts is necessary..
"I am extremely sad cause I didn't get a slinky and I didn't get a glow stick. That's why. Love Lynn (heart). If there's any problems fix them all by yourself."
(Did you get that from reading the original note? It took me a while.. so cute though!!)
I am enjoying the phonetically spelled notes I get all day long..
Look at what a cutie she is!Lastly...
Peyton's tag..
Kimmy, our cute little friend, tagged us..
So here are 5 of Peyton's essential items:

1- Her Horse.. it goes just about everywhere inside our house and outside..2- Books.. she loves them!! Mostly looking at them at her own pace right now.. she's yet to sit still through a whole story.. well, besides her Barney and Elmo board books...
3- Cars and trucks... she makes the sounds of the engines too :)
4- Balls. She especially loves her big, bouncy, blue ball. I am also happy to note that she is over her fear of the exercise ball!! :D
5- It's a tie for this one.. me and her fingers...

Let's call it "Tag Tuesday".. shall we?

I'm doing a bunch, cause I have a bunch to do..
Play along with any, or all if you want!

Tag #1: Honest Scrap

The award is "Honest Scrap" The rules of the award are :

~ Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design
~ Show the 7 winners names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they were prized with "Honest Scrap." Well, there is no prize but it is fun!
~ List 10 honest things about yourself.

1- I am a total toilet paper snob.. Charmin all the way!!
2- Sometimes, I have to run up the stairs at night, when I am the last one to go to bed.
3- I get into "Intervention" a little too much.
4- I am satisfied when a good spank is administered to a little bum, without a follow up laugh fro the spankee.
5- I wish my hair were long again, sometimes.
6- I don't really read to the girls, try recite.. I have most of their books memorized. Years of reading them will do that to you.
7- I enjoy spending money on new books for the girls almost as much as I do spending it on scrapbook stuff.
8- I am behind on my scrapbooks.. back to 2006 y'all..
9- I used to sluff seminary (quite a bit) to enjoy a 2 hour and fifteen minute lunch.. :0
10- I have been forgetting to take my picture of the day picture, and usually do it right before I put the girls to bed, which only riles them up, or after they've gone to sleep.

Tag #2: 7 Line Bio Poem

Here's a hint: Google it!

Mindy
Crafty (he he he..) friendly caring nurturing.
Mom to Lynnie-Lou, Ashley McSplashley, and Sweet "P".
Lover of all things chocolate, Merrill, and creating.
Who needs sleep, chocolate, and friends.
Who fears clowns, well-placed pop-its, losing everything.
Who would like to see old friends, a time machine, the inside of my eyelids.

Tag #3: Funny things I used to say..

Quite frankly, I still say a lot of funny things! Like when I got my name all jumbled up and Pindy Mitcher came out.. yep, that was smooth..

When I was small, I loved my dolls. I had little bottles to feed them and a little rocking chair in which I could sit and rock them. I would make a sucking sound for them while they ate the play bottle. My mom loved that..

I began my addiction to junk food at a young age.. I didn't want to stop then, either. One day, while mom was visiting with aunt Wendy in our kitchen, I climbed into the cupboard, very quietly, to munch on some potato chips. Their conversation suddenly paused, but my crunching did not, and my mom called my name..
"Mindy."
No answer, chewing.
A little more seriously now, "Mindy.."
Still, enjoying.
More annoyance that I am not answering her, "MINDYYY!!"
To which I responded, slamming the door open against the perpendicular wall, "WHH-AT!!"
That was greeted with laughter, and I shut the door and went about my second course.

Mom says I used to get all excited when M*A*S*H wold come on. I couldn't even talk yet, but knew when it started when I heard the helicopters in the opening sequence. I would run down the stairs, into the front room and spin with my arms held out like the blades of a helicopter, turning, back and forth... I still love M*A*S*H :)

Did I get them all?

Tag...

Jen tagged me...
I am- Trying to not eat all of the chocolate in the house...

I think- I want to eat all of the chocolate in the house...

Everything in Life- is a blessing.

I want- The days to go by just a little slower.

I have- 3 sweet girls..

I dislike- when they make each other unhappy.

I miss- Grandma W., Merrill when he's at work, Lynn and Ash when they are at school...

I fear- what my girls will have to endure... if I will have taught them well enough.

I feel- like more pulled pork.

I hear- Ash making Peyton laugh.

I smell- "Cozy Fireside"... Scentsy rocks!

I crave- um... chocolate?

I cry- when I feel the spirit, when I hear about children getting hurt, when I think of my girls and how fast time is going...

I search- for cute craft ideas, cute crafting items, photo ops...

I wonder- what Lynn will have in her homework folder...

I regret- not asking Merrill out to my senior cotillion... going with doofus...

I wish- for my girls to love their childhood, to look back on it someday with utter happiness...

I love- my family.. MY WHOLE FAMILY!!!!

I care- about my friends...

I always- pray...

I am not- a liar.

I remember- just about everything... memories from when I was 2 anyone?

I believe- my prayers are always answered, that there is a Heavenly Father who loves me.

I sing- silly, made-up songs to get laughs out of the girls.. and whatever is in my head...

I don't always- act as polite as I should...

I argue- just to get a rise out of Merrill :)

I write- everyday... well, at least I try...

I win- those arguments with Merrill... no not really... I usually lose everything to him, games of Monopoly, Connect 4, Canasta... I do win in the count of bums wiped :)

I lose- it when I am tired... either frustration or laughter... take your pick...

I listen- to PBS kids more than I watch it.

I don't understand- what Ashley says when she's crying.

I can usually be found- in my craft room...

I am happy- everyday... there's always something to be happy about!

Tag... Ashley...

This was a fun tag via those Nutty Nash's...
Five things you may or may not know about little Ashley "McSplashly" Pitcher.
1. She sleeps with her hands down her pants or shorts, not all the way down THERE... just tucked in her waist band.
2. She has a skin tag, right where her bum crack ends...
3. She can't seem to just smile when I take a picture of her...
4. She has a problem with her pants staying up. No matter how small the pant size, or even when they have the most wonderful adjustable waist, you can usually catch a glimpse of "Ricky"... her butt crack.
5. She ALWAYS tells me that whatever I cook is "Deee-Licious!"

Just call it Tuesday tag day...

My childhood friend, Tiffany, did this tag. It looked like fun.
So don't be a bum, do it too!
Six random things about ME!
1. I do not like clowns. I think it would be safe to say that I hate them. Hate is a strong word, I know, but I could seriously care less if they existed. I would much prefer a parade or a circus without them. I was scarred for life on my second birthday when my aunt Wendy, invited her buddy "Corky the Clown", as "the entertainment". There is honestly something wrong with someone who thinks it would be "fun" to cover their real identity with something that really isn't that friendly looking. But seriously, there are so many serial killers who dress as clowns, they hide who they really are with the demented white-washed face and exaggerated features slathered on with greasepaint, and then try to make you their friend. (Shudder...)
2. I have A+ blood, and believe that genetic factor contributes to my perfectionist attitude. (Get it, A+, like a grade...)
3. I have a record. Misdemeanor Mindy, you can call me. It came from the short time period in which I worked for Smith's as a bagger/checker, and my duties were in that order. It was my day to bag, but the store soon got busy and they needed me to check. My first time ever, and I got caught in a police sting. I was so flustered when this guy wanted to buy a single, over-sized can of beer, I by-passed the I.D. prompt in trying to figure out how to ring it up correctly. Needless to say, he got a great deal, and I got busted. At least I am smiling in my mugshot!
4. I have a sweet tooth. I could easily make a meal out of a bag of sugar.
5. I still have dreams about waking up late for school, having nothing to wear because my closet is full of my high school wardrobe... and when I get there, after trying to gat the girls ready and find a babysitter, I can't remember if it's "A day" or "B day", and my schedule is a little blurry.
6. I used to win all of the girls camp burping contests. I can burp "I love you... I do not participate in that activity anymore, however, as I want my husband to remain married to me.

Backpack tag...

We were tagged a while ago to divulge the super-secret contents of all Ashley's must have's that she keep contained within the pink zipper of her Care Bear back pack... I honestly didn't know where it was until we had to find it for pre-school...
So, here they are!
- Glow Worm
- My Little Pony coloring pages
- Polly Pocket Snow White, with Belle's dress...
- and a dinosaur skull from a kid's meal.
So, since pretty much all of our kids have backpacks, feel free to show what they desire to pack around... and pass it on.

Getting to Know Your Husband Tag...

Min: What is your full name? "Ahhh... I don't know..." (Dixon Merrill Pitcher Junior)
How long have we been married? 8 years
What's your dream job? "Besides something in music... if I were independently wealthy, I would work a new job every month so I could learn... I would work on a cruise ship for a month, work at Lagoon for a month, and then move on..."
Min: "What would be your ideal in music?"
Mer: "Probably produce indie bands... or promoter, that would be kinda cool."
What's your dream car? "I've never thought about that... well, let me think about somethin'... that's gay... some muscle car. You know me.. I don't give two poops about cars..." (He didn't say poops though...)
What's your claim to fame? "I am a Pitcher... People always ask: "Pitcher's Sports?... Dixon/Lynn Pitcher...""
What do you like to do? "What I did yesterday... hang out with Lynn."
Min: "Does that mean Lynn is your favorite?"
Mer: "Ah-HaHaHa... (snooty french snorty laugh)... No, because I love Ash... oh, and Peyton too... I forget that she is here... 'Dear Peyton, your first three months of existence, I thought you were a house cat...'"
What's your biggest fear? "(Repeats the question... twirls a purse... thinking...) Twirls a purse!!!! (he's reading...) Now my biggest fear is that someone will think I am a pussy, or a homo... take it off... Okay... unwed pregnant daughters... (laughs)... No anything happening to my family."
What animal describes you? "(laughing and shaking head...) This is almost as bad as your "Alter Ego" book... a hyena... There you go!"
If you could live in any era which one would it be? "70's"
Min: "Why?"
Mer: "Psychedelic... beatniks and so forth... but if I could go knowing what I know now, I'd pick the 50's. I'd be such a rebel... I'd freak-out the normals. But I'd have to be able to take my music with me."
What's a goal for 2008? Min: "Not having sex all year?"
Mer: "HaHa... Making it through..."
Min: "Are you contemplating suicide or something?"
Mer: "No, but it didn't start off good... weather, economy... just kind of bleak."
What your guiltiest pleasure? "I don't feel guilty about much..." (smirk...)
What do you love about me? "Well, the one thing that caught me about you, was your bubbly personality..."
Min: "Your torture is over!"
I challenge everyone to interview their hubby... and post it, un-censored...

5 things to know about ashley...

sarah re-tagged me and i love it!!! (so don't be surprised if you get re-tagged for another one of your kiddies... and you had better love it too!)
#1- ash has been a rebel from the start. she was born october 5th, 2004, weighing in at 8 pounds 2 ounces (my doc. told me i wouldn't be able to have babies over 8 pounds vaginally... we'll see about that! i.e see peyton...) ash came via c-section for a combination of many reasons, the one i think was the biggest: she wouldn't turn... i imagine her inner monologue went something like this:
"oh, you're pushing now. do you think i am ready?
i'll stall, i'm so comfy...
so you're still bugging me?
you won't stop pushing?
so you think you want to have a vaginal birth?
ha! (she turns her chin up, or down, depending on how you look at it...)
oh, you think that
your pushing will get me to turn?
(more pushing...)
now i've shown you! i am stuck! they'll have to cut me out!"
(laughing victoriously.)

you can see a slight bruise on her head in this pic...
she still is a rebel see "the kernel" post... tell her to blow, she sniffs! #2- she loves, or "lubs" in ashley speak, her sisters... no, she really does! #3- she has two different laughs. one that is this quiet little squeaky laugh, sounds almost like a quiet hiccup. the other, a snort! #4- she "lubs bood"... translation: loves food. if there are no "froot loops", we will buy some by the end of the day. she tries everything, and usually loves it, never complains. she ate el matador salsa with a spoon ever since she could feed herself! loves it to this day... at dinner, she always tells me, "mommy, this is dah-licious!"
#5
-
she sleeps with her hands down her pants, or shorts... i sadly don't have any pics of that... but i am sure you can imagine...
we tag:
- anna k.
- zack a.

Lynnie-Lou...

I was tagged by Jaclyn...
5 things to know about Lynn Marie Pitcher:
#1- She is my first, oldest, sassiest, sweetest little girl... born on November 24th, 2002, weighing in at 7 pounds 12 ounces... I loved being pregnant with her! Until she found my ribs and wouldn't leave them alone... just kidding, I enjoyed that too, and missed it once she was here... She was born with dark dark hair and looked just like her dad, and her sisters arrived just the same way...
#2
- She was the chubbiest (i.e cutest) baby ever! Peyton is trying to beat her in the chubby department... now at 5, she is so stinkin' skinny! We love Old Navy shorts and jeans with their adjustable waists! If there isn't an adjustable waist, safety pins become our best friends. Just another way she is just like her dad... and she wants to wear skirts all the time that is the skinny part, not the skirt part;).
#3- If she is given the opportunity to choose a treat, she'll first ask if it is a "prize treat", like lipstick. If not, just a "treat-treat", she'll go for gum, lots of gum. She loves bubble tape.
#4
- She loves her family, all of them... sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents... she is very sweet. Always coloring pictures or telling me to buy their favorite treats when she sees them at the store. She prays for them all the time... she is so kind to Ashley and very generous when she is scared at night. She has been sleeping with Ash in her bed because Ashley has been nervous. Lynn tells her when she acts up, "I'll give you five chances, and then I will go back to my own bed." She loves to help me with Peyton and is always making-up songs to sing to her to make her happy.
#5- She loves her long hair... will not let us cut it! We did once, because she started to cut it herself, needless to say, she hasn't played with scissors like that ever again...
I tag:
- Alana K.
- Ella A.
- Alec G.
- Tyler J.
- Brookie L.

So Dani tagged me... "these are a few of my favorite things..." all guaranteed to put a smile on my face... make me feel happy!
1 - Our new sheets that we got for Christmas from Mer's mom and dad... freshly washed with Downy "clean breeze" fabric softener, and dried with a fabric softener sheet too...
2 - Floats, Sunkist or A&W... doesn't matter, one or the other with vanilla ice cream! That'll put a smile on my face!
3 - Going in to either of the girls bedrooms... I love my whole house, but I am really happy with the way the paint turned out in the girls room and the nursery... it was fun to do!
4 - Cadbury eggs... original creme, orange creme, or carmel... yum...
5 - Merrill's music finding skills... we are always listening to something new, fresh, and unique. It's funny that music I have been listening to and loving for months, shows up on commercials now, and people are talking about how good it is, wondering who it is, and I know, because I am so cool... because of my Mer-Bear...
6 - Pod-Casts... Mer and I have had this "thing" lately. We put the girls to bed, cuddle up in our bed and listen to a pod cast together, we are usually laughing. We always have such fun conversations afterwards.
7 - Snuggling up with Peyton... especially after she's had a bath, but anytime will do.
8 - The smell of "Tinactin"... I know, this one is weirder than breast-fed baby poop... but it always means that Mer is home, and I love when Mer is home...
9 - The phrase "Giggidy-Giggidy"... makes me smile and makes me giggle!
10 - Living where we do... our families are so close.
11 - Hearing the girls sing. Lately it's been one of Mer's new bands... (imagine music notes here...) "Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about meeee!" I love hearing their voices. It makes me even happier to see them singing in Primary... which Lynn does more now...
12 - Pizza & Movie night. The whole family is involved. We make home-made dough and sauce, top them ourselves, and eat them while we watch a family flick... sometimes we even make strawberry daiquiris...
13 - Making cookie dough and eating it then baking the cookies and eating them too... always as a family, and always listening to music, and dancing, but please don't come watch us through the window...
14 - Jumping on the trampoline with the girls.
15 - Going on walks.
16 - Lake Powell... mmm... summer, warmth, red-rock, the smell of gasoline and water, jet skiing, water-skiing, barbecuing on the water, sand in my swimsuit (hehehe...), exploring on the rocks and hunting for seashells with the kids... I could go on and on and on... even the drive is fun!
17 - Scrapbooking, of course... although you wouldn't be able to tell lately... refer to #

Tag.... you're it now...

I am posting early. Hoping to get some R&R... that is if the "wee-ones" will cooperate...I've planned an easy dinner for the night too.
So here's the tag that I've been thinking about for a while, especially early this morning... I think that Amoxicillin makes some kids (Ash) hyper...

I've been tagged by Rachael
A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 Years Ago: The plan, already set, was in motion.... I wasn't quite engaged to #1 yet... even though I knew we weren't supposed to be together anyway. Things were happening, Merrill and I were being moved closer together. This year makes 10 that we will have been together, 8 of those 10, married...

5 Things On My To Do List Today: 1. Take a shower (pee-you!) 2. Wash Ashley's sheets (thank heavens her ear didn't rupture...) 3. Talk to Christie, for a long time... it's been a while... (love ya Christie!) 4. Get my layout for the day done 5. Respond to this tag

Snacks I enjoy: Ummmm... anything involving sugar or chocolate, or both :) most days, if it's edible, I like it...

What would I do if I were suddenly made a billionaire? Buy a bigger vehicle, save... oh, and make Mer go shopping for new work shoes and pants.

3 Of My Bad Habits: 1. I am impatient with people, when they should know better. 2. I have some OCD tendencies... 3. I don't switch the laundry as soon as I should.

5 places I have lived: 1. Roy 2. Washington Terrace 3. South Ogden (That's really it... well, Heaven too, a long time ago... it is true...)

5 Jobs that I have had: 1. Arby's (now are you thinkin' Arby's?) 2. Matrix (now known as Convergy's) 3. Smith's (checker/bagger) 4. Substitute Teacher (Junior High was the funnest!) 5. Sears (intimate apparel, yeah, guys were real fun to help... "Can you try that on for me?")

Things people don't know about me: I really don't like clowns. I get this sick sense of satisfaction when I successfully pop a zit... my favorites are on Mer's back. (I know, ewww...) I never flew on an airplane until I was 18. I never went anywhere west of Utah until I was married. I had never been out of the country until I was married. I had never seen/touched the ocean until I was married... there were other "firsts" on my honeymoon too;)...
