Meet Salvador Sanchez:

july30

Don’t ask me where the name came from, or what possessed Merrill to give the girls such wacky (but silly) nicknames, but this particular one belongs to Peyton.

(The chocolate milk mustache does lend to the name, wouldn’t you agree?)

He has given Lynn the new nickname of “Juntao”.

(Again, don’t know quite why…)

And Ashley has earned “Haru”.

(And she loves it.)

Just kind of silly that guy is.

A Christmas miracle took place Sunday with our little “Salvador Sanchez”.

She went to nursery on her own.

Someone else opened the door, and she went in, on her own.

(!!!!!!)

I peeked around the corner after her, and there she was, hugging her nursery teacher.

(!!!!!!!!!!!)

(Note: there were NO tears.)

There was a wave and a signed “I love you” goodbye, and I was off, and she stayed there being  happy.

(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

See, early, but a Christmas miracle nonetheless.

I've noticed lately she's been warming up to Gilda. I've walked in and both our girls have been in her lap. It must be the brunette hair that makes our girls feel more comfortable. ;) I don't know, but Kimmy will walk up to Gilda and just sit in her lap.

She had to hit that point some time, and right before she turns 2 1/2 must have just seemed like the perfect time. :)

I have to laugh at your nicknames, we have random ones for our kids too, like Elle being Sassy Sasquatch, yeah that gets some looks. Luckily my kids share Tom and mines since of humor. Also hurray on Nursery that is a big one, Elle was fine for a while, went through a faze of hating in and is back to loving it. Silly girls!!
